This morning, Baby B. was admitted to the hospital for broncopneumonia. He's been breathing loudly and had a rattly chest for a couple weeks now. It seemed like he maybe just had a cold, but it wasn't getting better with medicine. His pediatrician asked us to have a chest x-ray taken, and that's when we learned what the real problem was. As he is still so small (only 6 weeks old), she wanted him to be admitted to the hospital.
As you can see in the pictures, he's on oxygen. The doctor told me that it is just a precaution due to his small size and young age. He's not as sick as he could be, and the oxygen is more of a prevention from it getting worse. He was put on fluids as well shortly after arrival. He seems to be doing okay, but as of right now, we're still not sure when he'll get to come home. We're hoping it'll be early next week :)
