A few days ago, we were told that this afternoon a little brother and sister would be arriving to Casa de Amor. We waited all day for them and they finally arrived right in the middle of dinner. They were in another orphanage for about two months before being transferred to CDA. Their story is still a bit unclear but it seems that they have a mentally disabled mother, a deceased father, and two older siblings in a different orphanage. They did well for about the first hour but both were inconsolable after that. I hope they can at least get a good night's sleep tonight but I'll be surprised if they do sleep well. Neither wanted to be with us, and big sister S. kept crying out for her "mama" (I'm assuming her tía at their previous orphanage). They weren't interested in playing or even being near the other kids. It might be a bit of a transition for everyone!
