Today is S.'s 9th birthday! It's hard to believe it's already been a year since she turned 8! She got to go to church and out to lunch with Danyelle, and then everyone came over to the boys' house to celebrate. Another volunteer, Sarah, had these pink plastic crowns/wands/jewelry that all the kids wanted to use, and S. got to pick out a piñata while out with Danyelle. I'd made a cake the night before but saved the frosting to make this afternoon. When S. arrived to the boys' house, she asked if she could decorate the cake. With a little help from Tía Techy, she spread the frosting onto the cake and added some sprinkles. Soda, cake, and ice cream made for a great party… I think the kids finished their food in record time! The girls hung out for a bit before leaving and all had fun playing together. It was a great afternoon!
